Nursery-Colin Parsons

Colin is married  to Darla and has 2 teenagers Genie & Stian. Both teens are in our youth group.  By day he is a mechanic for Jenner Equipment Co on big equipment.  He is a guy who loves kids and does a great job teaching kids at Sunday School about our Lord and His love.  When we have 10-13 on a given Wednesday night it is nice to have Colin and Darla back in our nursery & preschool department.  Colin & Darla met here at church and have been part of our church for quite a few years now.  We are fortunate to have them.

1st-3rd grade- Cyndi Dempsey

Cyndi is married and has 2 grown children. One is serving in Afghanistan with the National Guards. She is one of the founding members of our church. She is also a very proud grandma of 3 lovely ladies.  Her & her husband own an Auto salvage yard in Sturgis.  Cyndi is a prayer warrior and has a deep love for kids all ages. Cyndi got saved at Vacation Bible school many moons ago.  She thinks Sunday School is an ideal place to let kids experience who Jesus is first hand.

4th - 6th grade Delonne Burkhard

Delonne has been our children's director for more than 15 years. Delonne is a recent empty nester with her son Jacob graduating from Sturgis high school last year.  Delonne is also is our Vacation Bible School director and has seen many children grow up and mature into great adult leaders.  Her latest job is directing the children's Christmas program that was performed on Dec. 11, during our morning worship service. She has a love for children and their parents. She believes that reaching children is a great inroad to reaching their parents.





Youth-Sean Donnelly

Sean Donnelly is our new youth pastor and is a 10 year resident to SD.  He lives in Whitewood with his wife Jessica and their 2 small children. They have been married for six years.  Sean is a graduate from Spearfish High school and Black Hills State University with a degree in Psychology & a minor in philosophy. He also works for the state of South Dakota helping people find jobs.  He has a passion for people especially young people and fathers.  He has a great sense of humor and a desire to see youth have a meaningful relationship with our Lord. Stop in and see our new youth pastor in action.




Adult Sunday Bible Study  -   Douglas Shonley Teacher

Douglas Shonley grew up and graduated high school in Mitchell, South Dakota.  After a short stint in college he joined the US Air Force and worked as an Air Traffic Controller at Ellsworth AFB.  After discharge from the Air Force he worked for the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller in Sioux Falls, SD then Kansas City International and then Sioux City, Iowa.  In 1981 the Air Traffic Controller strike ending that career and Doug started working full time in the computer business.  Primarily doing consulting and programming has been his main stay for many years.  Doug is involved in many activities including computers, airplanes (past), and motorcycles.  He loves teaching the Adult Bible Study on Sundays and participating in many varied activities. Doug is passionate about our Lord. He is knowledgeable and works hard to prepare an exciting lesson each week.
